Hi, I am wondering how I can get different content that is not in the starter content. Also I looked in the market place and noticed that there is not much there. I am looking for different meshes.
Thank you,

If you’re looking for freebies there a a million websites that offer them. Turbo Squid comes to mind. Generally though, to avoid having your project look like every other project you want to create your own assets. It’s not exactly rocket science. There’s nothing worse than a game that looks just like another game.
You have to be careful also. A lot of free 3D asserts have a EUA of non usage (or required Royalties) in a shipped commercial product. Not to mention its not easy to find quality free meshes.
Turbo Squid have some quality meshed, but the prices!!!.. There are some that are worth the price tag, but most are too high price for Indies & Hobbyists in my opinion. Best option is to make your own, and if you are lucky, find a few once in a while from the projects downloaded. MAny are pretty good, & I will use directly, or modified.
You can get meshes from all over the internet
e.g
:///
://www.blendswap/
But keep in mind that they are mostly not “engine ready”. So you will have to adjust/add/edit some stuff -> e.g lightmap,… + take a close look at the licence
Artists create new meshes and textures in tools like 3ds , Maya, or Blender, and Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET.
Becoming a good artist for game art takes significant practice/training, and becoming good in any one tool takes additional adaptation and training, so don’t be disappointed if your first attempt at making a mesh with a texture doesn’t come out great – practice makes perfect! Lots and lots of practice!
It’s difficult to trust content from a third party, even if it’s paid; there’s no way of knowing where it really came from. I’ve noticed a lot of “free” models are actually ripped content from commercial games that people post online.
