How do I get Material Displacement to Work in 5.3?

Hello Everyone!

I cannot get Material Displacement to work in 5.3. I have the requisite lines added to my DefaultEngine.ini file.

I have a material and instance created:

I create a landscape and drop my material instance onto it:

I select my Landscape in the Outliner, click Enable Nanite and then Build Data. And this is what happens:

If I turn off Nanite, it goes back to normal.

Any suggestions/ideas? Video card driver? I have an RTX 3060 with 8gb and 64gb of system RAM.

Im sure it’s a new output i don’t know about.
But what happens when you plug it into the world position offset which is the pin used since always to do displacement before this other pin was added?

Assuming 2 two work somewhat similar, the problem is probably the fact you dont have a vertex normal multiplication in there to tell it what direction to move the vertex in.

if the new USF does this internally, then i have no idea.
Its something for you to try anyway…
