How do i get a front and back video view of my body for a metahuman animation

I’m trying to make a animation were i grab a sword from my back but when i do it in live link hub my arm glitches out when i reach behind my back so i was wondering if i can get two videos of my body front and back and conbine them into one animation

Live Link Hub will not merge a front clip and a back clip into one body solve. The video solver is monocular. When the arm goes behind the torso it loses the limb and the IK flips. That is the glitch, not something you fix by stacking two videos.

What actually works:

  • Shoot the reach from a 3/4 or side angle so the arm stays in frame the whole time, and solve that one clip. A front camera cannot see a hand on the spine.
  • Or split the move. Solve the approach from the front, solve the grab from the side, then blend the two takes in Sequencer on the MetaHuman body (Control Rig or the IK Retargeter) and match the pelvis at the cut.
  • A second synced camera does not become a stereo solve inside Live Link Hub. If this reach has to be clean, record it with a multi-view or inertial source (a multi-cam tool, Rokoko, or an optical suit) and retarget onto the MetaHuman. Then clean the wrist in Control Rig where the hand crosses the body.

Also give the clip a short visible start before the reach so the solver locks the pose, and keep the arm inside the frame. A wide FOV that crops the hand will glitch the same way.
