As shown in the video below my character seems to be stretched and when edging in any given direction or rather the first couple of frames of movement the left hand warps/distorts.
I thought this was a retargetting issue but after creating an IK Rig & retargeter this doesn’t seem to have changed anything. I have also set the root and IK bones to animation, pelvis to animation scaled, and everything else to skeleton.
I’m not sure what’s going on here, and would appreciate any info and how to resolve the issue.
So I FINALLY, found out why this is happening thanks to the thread I’ve linked below.
1st the general stretching is because I didn’t re-target properly, but more importantly the cause of that weird warping on the hand is because of the hand_l_ik bone was influencing/had weights on the mesh and had deform checked in Blender. So I unchecked deform and removed the weight influence from those control bones. Now my character moves smoothly as intended.
