How do i fix errors from deleting the default map?

edit: it seems to be looking for a file i know is in a differnt location in some kind of temp folder somewhere else

im new to game frameworks like ue and the others so i dont know why they would make temp folders like this for content i explicitly put somewhere else in the project folder just to cook… whatever cook means.

I deleted the default map file in my project ( i think it was, it was in root) and changed my main map to the one i want to use at build. the reason i did this was because when i build the project, the fp player started at the wrong place.
now however, whebn i build i get

Otoko_Tenshi,

Have you tried deleting your Intermediate, Config and Saved folders from your project? That should purge out any old files that may be lingering around.

hi i deleted them. first could you explain what theyare? theres a folder under saves called autosaves>game and it has some 200mb files like level2_Auto5.umap
what does it do exactly?
i assume intermediate is used to make copies of assets to be cooked and saved is the backups while config is the lighting.
can you just answer me incase. did i just delete all my lighting settings, or just the cooked/baked versions of them? it was 1.7GB of data…

All project files are intermediate ([UE4Root]\Engine\Intermediate\ProjectFiles). You must generate project files each time you sync a new build to ensure they are up to date. If you delete your Intermediate folder, you must regenerate project files using the ‘GenerateProjectFiles’ batch file.

It regenerates the project files when you delete the intermediate folder.

When you delete the config files, it deletes all config files and regenerates them. So if you’ve made changes to the config file, then it will have been erased. You can always restore it from your recycling bin.

The Saved folder contains autosaves, configuration (.ini) files, and log files. Additionally, the Engine > Saved directory contains crash logs, hardware information, and Swarm options and data.
