Hello, we’re using Maya to create the weapon animations for our third person game. To ensure that the weapon animations syncs with our character we animate it in the character’s hand. The problem is that if i export it like that i cant attach the weapon to the Right Hand Socket, because if i play the animation it will offset, so to play it correctly i have to set the weapon position to 0,0,0 of the character blueprint. Is there a way around this? Do i need to zero out the weapon in maya so all it’s animations are played in its own local space? What is the normal workflow for this? Thank you.
