I’ve been following tutorials to create a HUD but they are for third person preset I have the HUD built but cant figure out how to get it to display.
This is an easy way to do it:
- Choose Blueprints > Edit Level Blueprint from the tool menu
- Add a “Create Widget” node to the output pin of the “On Begin Play” node, use the pull down menu next to the class pin and choose HUD
- Add a “Add to View Screen” node to the output of the “Create Widget” node, connect the blue “Target” and “Return Value” pins together on the new nodes you added
- Save and compile the Level Blueprint, then close it.
Your HUD should now be visible when you press Play in the editor or run the packaged game.
Tune your HUD until it displays the way you want, then relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
