How do I create a totally blank project?

I understand Unreal Engine is attempting to be helpful here, but I want to begin a new project with NOTHING in it. No landmass, no openworld, no lighting, nothing. Just a totally blank project. Yet, when I select Blank Project, I get all this stuff. I can’t delete all of it either.

That’s actually just a template level and not part of your project unless you save it.

All you have to do is Create new level and pick the Empty Level option.

You can then save it to your project and set that to be your start up map in Project Settings → maps and modes.

Just for fun, I wanted to disable all plugins. Among them were ContentBrowser and PluginBrowser.
After this I was unable to run the project (unexpected isn’t it?)

So I don’t think you really need a COMPLETELY blank project.

Wow! I can’t believe I overlooked something that SIMPLE!. Thank you!

I wouldn’t have expected that behavior either, but I guess now you’re getting more deeply into what’s making the Engine itself function.
