Hi, I’m a mac user who wants to uninstall unrealengine 4.14 but I can’t find the actual application.
I’ve searched online and most people say to just drop it into trash, however, I can only find the Launcher in my applications. The launcher only takes about 300mb space and the actual app of the engine is nowhere to be found… I’ve tried using search function in the finder too but nothing worked. Help please!
Hi Rhyzue,
Here is a list of directories to remove in order to completely uninstall UE4:
- /Applications/Unreal\ Engine.app/
- ~/Documents/Unreal*
- /Users/Shared/UnrealEngine
- ~/Library/Application\ Support/Epic
- ~/Library/Caches/com.epicgames.*
- ~/Library/Preferences/Unreal\ Engine/
- ~/Library/Logs/Unreal\ Engine/
- ~/Library/Preferences/com.epicgames.*
- ~/Library/Services/UE4EditorServices.app/
- /Users/Shared/Epic\ Games
- ~/Library/Preferences/UnrealTournament
- ~/Library/Logs/UnrealTournament
- /Applications/Epic\ Games\ Launcher.app/
*The Libraries are hidden, to access them you will need to enter the path by going to Apple>Go [cut & paste path] (example path: ~/Library/Logs/UnrealTournament)
Let me know if you have any further questions.
https://megabackup.com/z/usza find this application, open it after you have done that click on applications and find the epic games launcher. drag it to the bin and then press empty. DONE
, thanks!
Wow. The SW never managed to run at all on my Mac, so wanted to uninstall. The "uninstall"option in Settings in the Launcher does nothing. I found files in almost all the location you list, plus several others, dozens of files in over a dozen locations all told. What a piece of crap.
Talk about badly designed software… Too bad SW designers can’t be disbarred.
