Windows 7. Projects directory is on my C drive. I have a 2 tb drive and would like to put it there. Is this possible?
You can easily move projects around. So yes, you can put it onto your 2tb drive. But the problem with downloading stuff from the marketplace is still not solved (they are always automatically placed into the document folder).
But you can move document forder to diffrent drive ;] got to propertice of document forder and there should be location tab.
There are some solution to this mentioned in this thread:
https://answers.unrealengine/questions/12526/change-default-location-of-unreal-projects.html
However, we are planning to give the user the option to pick the default install directory in a future release that should be ready soon. This will save you the trouble if you can wait a short while.
Is this something that was addressed with 4.1 or is it targeted for a future release still?
Hi cardern. Yes - this was fixed in the latest launcher release. You can now select the location for downloading projects from the marketplace by clicking on the path at the bottom of the window. Hope that helps.
Hmm… I see that, but is there a way to move already existing content? I tried moving it to a new directory and only have a “repair” option which will regenerate that content in the original directory regardless or whether or not I have selected a new directory.
on create project select D:\ partition to save or copy current project on D:\ partition and when open select “browse” and select your project. ![]()
