I’m new to Unreal. I want to start a blank project so that I can start messing around and learning.
However, when I create a blank project, it creates a landscape instead of a plane. This causes my computer’s fans to work overtime.
I only want to make a low-poly game, not something with realism. How do I change the startup file for the blank project to start with a simple plane instead?
If you open the THIRD-PERSON you’ll be started with a simple plane and basic geometry.
I want a first person game with a simple plane. How do I change the default blank project FOR A FIRST PERSON GAME to be an empty plane?
I think the answer is to change the game default map to the template you want.
Hello!
You can create a new empty level and you can then only add what you need.
Once the level is created, you can change the default editor map as previously suggested.
Edit\Project Settings\Maps & Modes\Editor Startup Map
