How do I change Default Mannequin mesh on animation sequence to a custom mesh?

Totally beginner here, long story short, I sometimes create a static mesh on certain pose for my drawing reference.
Can I change it somehow? let’s say with Manny/Quinn mesh instead this new one, the new one isn’t very suitable for my drawing reference.

I can change the mesh by creating Blueprint animation with the custom mesh, but it’s kinda hassle …

you can pose a skeletal mesh with a control rig

but once you bake it out to a static mesh
you can’t get it back to a skeletal mesh without a lot of reworking the pose
or processing it in another program
