How do I avoid APEX clothing from collapsing into itself?

I have been trying to get the tie to work and it works just fine except the mesh keep collapsing into itself. I have watched the 3DS Max Cloth tutorials on NVIDIA/YouTube. How do I prevent it from doing this?

Thank you very much!

I looked in the Content Examples under “Cloth” - 1.5. where it tells about the Latch to Nearest…I tried it out but I can’t seem to get it to work properly. It just keep the one side from moving and makes it stretch horribly.

Check the Nvidia developer site, there’s an updated plugin: Download Center | NVIDIA Developer

Latch to Nearest is the way to go, you are correct. Give that another shot with the new plugin.

Also, in Maya for Apex cloth you can enable ‘self collision’ and set a radius on that. I’m guessing there is the same option in Max.

I had some trouble with the newest version of the plugin, thank you, though. I will give the Latch to Nearest again, though, not 100% (even with the tutorial that they provided) how to use it.
I will accept this answer.
Thank you very much!

Please have a nice day/morning/evening/something! ^-^
