How do I add a material to the paint landscape function?

Hello.

I am new to UE. I created a landscape. I was following a Youtube video guide and added a material that had multiple layers. Grass, sand, stone. I want to add a new mud material to it so I can use the paint function in landscape mode. I cannot find any info anywhere as how this can be done, I can paint thr grass, sand and stone but for the life of me how do I add the mud to the paint function as well

Hey there @Easier2Hax! Welcome to the community! So did you create a landscape auto material or did you just add landscape blend materials to the landscape material painting tool?

If you’d done a landscape auto material this video will show you how to add in a paintable material above it at the material level:

This one will show you how to handle the blends outright:

Thank you so much for the help. I was able to add the mud layer. Was far harder than I thought it would be xD

hi @Easier2Hax yeah if you dont understand or know the logic behind the landscape auto material, it can be difficult. But you did the best thing. Learned how to create it then used that knowledge and a little help from @SupportiveEntity and made it your own!

I have a same problem, I added foliage layer node in landscape master material and painted it in landscape layer everything is visible in cryptomatte except the foliage painted in landscape layer
