How do I activate my VFX?

Hi, I migrated a Niagara System into my map and I’m still a noob in UEFN and I would like to know how to I use a button or an alteration zone to activate/desactivate the VFX? Bcs all I see is activate automatically but I do want it to start when I interact with a button or go into an alteration zone.

Try adding your VFX to a ‘VFX Spawner’ device. (Set as “Custom Visual Effect”)

You could then connect it to the Mutator Volume with the built-in hooks/functions.

I tried, but it wasn’t shown in the game.

I figured out how to place them.

  1. Double-click on them in the content tab

  2. Click on the red :warning: and click “solve problem” to make it usable

The unsolved problem is that I don’t know how to trigger a button or anything else to make the VFX (N.S.) show/disappear.

I just did a quick test and was able to trigger a ‘Custom’ VFX with a button:

I changed ‘Enabled on Phase’ to None to make sure that it did not start playing when the level loaded. Then I hooked up the VFX Spawners ‘Enable’ function to a button.

OHHHHHH I just understood why! It’s because I had to

and THEN use it with the VFX spawner.
