How do discovery tabs still randomly not rotate after years?

I mean how has discovery been here for years at this point and tabs still just randomly don’t rotate? Like what are these systems yall are building how are they still this bad after so long?

It doesn’t feel like discovery is moving forward with improvement. What it feels like is the entire system is rebuilt, then issues start emerging, then massive changes are done and we are at ground 0 again. I mean what do yall have to show for the years discovery has been around? Hey we added categories that removed the visibility of certain game modes and made categories 120 maps each so that only the top 6 are really viewed. And we have yet to have a week go by where a tab randomly doesn’t update properly. We also combatted spam by “making” an “AI” that detects similar thumbnails but now it actually flags original work and just makes spam harder to look for.

I mean this all feels vibe coded and like no one actually knows what is going on or what the direction of discovery should be. It feels like a miracle at this point that maps are even shown at all. I get this is a complex system but I’m not getting paid hundreds of thousands to build these systems.

It’s literally every week a tab randomly stops updating and then people have to post on twitter and then you’ll get a response it’s being investigated. I mean there’s no checks to make sure a tab has rotated in the past 24 hours?

Also massive discovery changes were made with the inclusion of categories now and yet no documentation was ready for how it works? Is this just an oversight or do yall not know how it works either?

it’s either incompetence at this rate or the culture and work environment at Epic is just so bad that nothing will ever improve and it’s even a miracle we got a working system.
