How could I stream 3d assets stored on IPFS to my downloadable game developed on Unreal Engine {4-20}

Hey Guys,

We are trying to develop a decentralised metaverse (Downloadable client). We were thinking of a solution through which assets stored on IPFS could be streamed to our game. For example, a detailed 3d model of a house (interior + exterior) is stored on IPFS. We would like to display/stream, that 3d model in our metaverse in real-time.

What would be the best way to do that?
Thanks in advance :slight_smile:

Any progress about it?

Hey,

After rigorous testing we concluded that its not feasible to store assets on IPFS. It’s better to store your assets on a server (pak files) and stream that and record the hashes on IPFS. IPFS is good for recording hashes when it comes to game development

Thanks

Hello. Sorry I’m late… since 1st october at the marketplace exits this tool. My entire team is developing a virtual world and we believe the IPFS and Hypercore are the main tools for the web 3 adopt.I hope get news about you and your project.
