How can I use sockets in a 2D game with 4.5?


I am designing a 2D game that allows a player to attach and detach items found in the game world. I learned that you needed sockets to do this. I also learned until 4.5, you couldn’t do this with flipbooks. I’ve now heard that with 4.5 you can. The problem is, I have Unreal 4.5 now but I still can’t figure out how to add sockets to flipbooks. Can anyone walk me through the process of adding sockets to a flipbook in Unreal 4.5?
