How can I use Blender's Navigation and Keyboard shortcuts in Unreal Engine 5

I am a Blender user for almost 2 years now, started learning 3D for the first time in Blender in January 2022. Since then I have worked on a lot of projects starting with simple stuff and then worked on Archviz for better part of my journey and recently made a few VFX projects where I integrated a cg car into a footage by doing camera tracking and then some compositing at the end and it is my best work so far, so this is my background I have been wanting to learn UE5 since the start of 2023 but haven’t got around to learning it properly until now and thought whether it would be possible to use all of those shortcuts and navigation methods that I am used to and familiar with in Blender to use in UE5.

I am also a big fan of pie menus in Blender and they make it so much easier to work with, although it is obvious that something like this is not available in UE but I was hoping to change basic Pan, Orbit and Zoom shortcuts to do Orbit with middle mouse button and Pan with Shift + MMB and Zoom with Mouse Scroll. And other shortcuts like use G to move a selected object around and lock it to any axis with X, Y and Z keys and for rotation use R key and S for scale.

I have searched for this on Youtube to find a video but there is no one who is showing anything like this except one comment I found of a person also looking to customize shortcuts like they have in Blender. I found a video where a person mention reddit, discord and UE community is a good place to find help so I am hoping people here might be able to help me with this specific problem.

I really don’t think you’ll fins solutions to this.

You can change some shortcuts and behaviours, more than normal if you re-compile the engine from source.

It’s not really worth your or anyone’s time to do it. Its probably faster to learn and adjust to the new controls…

As far as pie menues and UI go:

You are dealing with one of the world’s most incompetent UI/UX teams out there.
I think they come only slightly behind Adobe on that ranking… and thats a big insult as it stands.

The UI on blender is chocolate. Just because both things are brown doesn’t mean one is edible, if you get my drift :stuck_out_tongue:

Look into the engine .ini files.
They allow you to specify some key binds.

You wont be able to get to anything like blender with basic pan and orbit switches.

Though i know you can map F to . So that zooming in or center screening items can match…

I’ve been working on this plug-in for the same, but it doesn’t seem to work.
