How can I solve "Pure virtual function being called while application was running" exception/crash?

I don`t know what else to do, I already submitted a bug, but developers seems no to have a single idea how this could happen. It crashes all the time even on v4.21 and v4.22

Plus googling around, I can see that well know games like PUBG has this issue as well, if you play long enough.

Does somebody has a solution for this problem? I´m not even able to reproduce it because sometimes it happens when you do some actions, other times happens even leaving the game open for a few seconds… :confused: super random.

.ooooot of refactors, I got the solution.

I find out that I was performing readings to PlayerState and GameState inside loops, not so many but yes severals in a short amount of time, for some reasson when many players where connected, like 3…, this loop at the same time crashed unreal itself, even cooked and shipped.

Solution, Refactor whatever I needed that I was reading from PlayerState into a place that could be cached, and that did the trick.

Hope it helps to any other soul in pain with the same error.

*btw… I hope the guy who invented “pure functions” goes to hell, soon if possible.

Hey, Im running into this too but dont really understand the solution. Can you please explain it with more detail? I would really appreciate. Does it mean that the PalyerState causes this? I think this started to happen when I implemented Multiplayer stuff like Steam, same for you?

Not op, but this also happens to me. I’ve have also implemented steam multiplayer.
Unfortunately I have not solved the issue.

Same, and I’m working on a single player tittle.

Have you resolved the issue on your end? Im getting this as well and have no idea why.
