How can I show which players are on which team in a 4 team game?

I have 4 teams, color coded as blue, red, yellow and green and players need to be able to tell which team other players are on.

I was told that there is really no way to change the player name color, even with scripting.

I tried using 4 player markers and setting each one to a specific team and have them display an icon over the players heads in the correct team color. The player markers seem to be bugged at the moment and attaches giant light beams to all players even when the beacon is turned off, so that’s not an option. Also, the icons only display for the first person that joins the game.

I have team icons set in Team Settings & Inventory for each team, but that does not display anywhere.

I was hoping that maybe I just missed some setting somewhere. Can someone give me any advice on how to somehow indicate team colors on players?

How about the VFX Powerup, you can set colour, visibility and duration

I think I looked at that a while back, but I was trying to avoid that, because I found that different video settings display vfx drastically different. Sometimes the effects hardly show at all.
