How can I repair Revit link to Twinmotion?

Hey there, I am working on a Revit model in Twinmotion. I keep having an issue where in my project the connection between my Revit model and TM break. I have had this issue 3 times now and the only way I've been able to import any Revit file into Twinmotion at all after this bug has been force quitting Revit and reimporting the file into TM. I am unable to resume work on the current project in TM and keep the model linked in Revit.

I am getting the attached error even though the previously connected is open and independently functioning. Any suggestions? Using Revit 2024 and Twinmotion 2023.1.1Screenshot 2023-05-15 210838image

Hi ,

Is this issue still happening for you? If it is, could you submit a bug report at https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/case-community-page?language=en_US and our support team can look into this.

Some things to check if this happens is to first try clicking Synchronize, even if there is no Direct Link listed in the Connection Status window, as this forces Datasmith to start searching for a Direct Link connection. Connections may appear after clicking Synchronize for the first time.

As an alternative to Direct Link, you can also try exporting a 3D view to a .udatasmith file, which accomplishes the same things with a slightly different workflow. This could be useful if you have an oversensitive firewall in use that may block Datasmith's connection attempts.

Best,
