Now I have a C++ project built by a compiled Unreal Editor from source code. Then I copy the whole compiled Editor to the artist, removing the ‘Intermediate’ folder and all *.pdb files. The artist can use that editor copied from me to create blueprint project.
Here’s the issue, when I copy my whole C++ project with all complied dll files in ‘Binary’ folder to the artist, they can’t open it. It shows that they need to rebuild the module, and to rebuild they need to have Visual Studio installed.
I really don’t want to distribute vs environment on all artist’s computers. And I don’t know why it need to rebuild? The editor works fine and all the dlls exist, why it need rebuild? How can I just open the project?
