I have Nvidia RTX 3070 with 8GB and Intel Iris Xe Graphic on my 32 gb ram. Unreal Engine runs super fast on my computer even with high scalability engine and Lumen enabled in the Open World scene.
Therefore my computer performance was never the issue. The problem I am facing right now is of course the high gpu memory usages therefore given by how expensive I have on my Maps, then my Vram would obviously reach its limit and crash very easily.
What I’m trying to achieve here is to preserve the amount of details as much as possible when rendering in the sequence so even after lowering samples, texture resolution, removing half of my landscape tiles in the world partition with unloaded actors in data layers, lowering lighting as well as optimizing Nvidia settings with DLSS is still largely overwhelming and overusage to handle.
My Nvidia driver doesn’t support SLI and NVlink with latest release of UE5.1 so I cannot even allocate and distribute to my virtual memory like other program can.
So I’m left with no other options but to use my other driver which currently has 23gb even if it means sacrificing my computer performance to keep UnrealEngine Running and sustainable without crashing .
From what I came across, Intel should be able to run the engine however I’m unable to change the driver even after changing the setting in the Window11 Display> Graphic and also changing Cpu only in the Nvidia panel setting.
Instead what I’m getting is that it only used small percentage of my system while the rest is still used in Nvidia Graphic. What Am I missing here?
