There is only option do not collapse and by material but when importing steel model with thousands of elements selecting them by item is painful and revit groups are not imported

Thank you for posting your question in the community and from my understanding depending on the phasing you need to do the only option is to import with Collapse method Keep Hierarchy. Thus I think this is a feature request in terms of how to sort and filter elements better for phasing in the scene graph.

It would be great if we are able to better be able to group and "explode" specific items. I believe often times with Revit we model a large building where 99% of the items does not need much detail but we may focus on one specific scene where we want to add a lot of details and be very specific with materials.
