So I had a lot of trouble with this and cant seem to figure it out.
I initially had problems getting the launcher to install but i used the “-http=wininet” insert into the Properties to get that to load and that worked. Then i went to install Fortnite and it downloads the file and attempts to install it, 1/3 of the way through it jumps to “verifying” and then verifies 3-5 times then says the installation file was corrupted. I dont know what to do.
I Checked my DNS and im using the GoogleDNS that is mentioned in the troubleshooting guide. I checked my firewall in my router (even just completely shut off the firewall), and on my Anti-Virus Software (BitDefender), checked my exception list and i don’t think that’s it.
I saw a Thread on here, with the same issue, that someone said their problem was a corrupt stick of RAM so i ran a Windows RAM Diagnostic but it said everything was fine.
Please help!

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your install.
When you are on the Fortnite tab of the launcher, does the orange button on the bottom right say Launch, Update, or Install? If you click the drop down arrow on the orange button, what options does it give you?
I actually got the problem resolved on my own.
I was realized that i was running a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit system. Makes no sense. Since Windows is doing the free upgrade to Windows 10, i went ahead and got it. I then re-downloaded the epic games launcher and poof everything downloaded and installed perfectly, No issues at all.
Thank you for reporting this issue, although Answerhub is for issues related to Unreal Engine 4 in particular. I’m glad to see that you found a resolution but for support with Fortnite and for reporting these types of issues in the future, please go to http://fortnitehelp.epicgames.com/
