How can I fix Unreal Crashing whole PC on Startup?

I had a 1070 laptop, installed unreal and it would crash when making a new project and show an error code. I brought a new laptop with a 2070 and when I go to create a new project it crashed but this time the whole pc, the power button wont allow me to turn it off so I shut the lid and now it wont allow me to turn it on, I have videos of evidence but please can someone help me.

Without an error code or log, it’s hard to troubleshoot this. What is the model of laptop? The graphics card doesn’t matter so much for using the engine, just for displaying high fidelity visuals.

I run an HP laptop with an i7 8th gen with integrated graphics and it runs fine. It’s possible you need a BIOS update or to set the max processor state to something like 90 percent to lower instantaneous power draw. Just a thought.

The first laptop was a MSI GE72MVR 7RG Apache Pro with a 1070 and i7 7th gen, 16 gb ram and my new one is the G7 17 2070 max Q with a i7 8th gen, 32 gb ram and they both crash the whole pc and make it reboot. I’ve checked the bios updates but not quite sure how to set the max processor state.

Found an crash report, it comes up with the D3D device being lost any help?
