We’re not quite at the era in time where you can feed a programming language a text file description and it does what you want. 
(Although this previously unimaginable future now seems imminent 
)
I think you can accomplish what you want without Verse. Just drag the Player Marker and Item Granter from the Fortnite/Devices folder into your level and change these variables in their Details panel.
