Basically I have this nice modular building pack from the store by purepolygons, and I want to export that to blender to make it watertight for chaos destruction. Is this possible?
because due to the devs of that pack having basic human common sense, they made sure to delete and not add all the unneccesary polygons that chaos destruction requires (each window bar and frame being a different asset etc.)
Right click → Asset Actions → Export (in the Content Browser)
The models will be triangulated, however. You’ll need to deal with that.
And I don’t know why, but Autosmooth angle is disabled in such models imported to Blender. Maybe due to non-existence of smoothing groups in Blender or IDK why. I mean, Autosmooth kind of works, but it uses some predefined angle that you can’t change, and if the model has sharp non-beveled edges, you’ll have to manually Mark them Sharp, because otherwise they might get smoothed out too and that will cause weird undesired shading.
If someone knows what to do to enable Autosmooth angle, please share.
