How can I export a skeletal mesh from UE4 to blender?

Okay I’m stupid, you are suppose to click one of the animation on the lower right and the export button then can be used

Hey I’m new to Ue4 and I would really like to use the engine and start making my own stuff. The main problem I’m having is the skeletal mesh. I would like to export it as a fbx from Ue4( the character given in examples) and just import to blender and make the animations I want there. The problem is the editor won’t let me export, it’s shaded out. If I’m not suppose to, I’m sorry I did not know and if I can use this please help me figure out how to export it. Is this problem a bug or something else?

Yes but how do you take off the animation so you just get bind pose?

from your Skeletal Mesh viewer, in Unreal 5, you can Create AssetCreate Animation using Reference Pose.

Save the sequence somewhere, open it up, select the preview skeletal mesh of your choice, select Preview Mesh (and in the FBX export options make sure to also tick Preview Mesh so it exports the bones + the SK)

You gotta pick the skeletal mesh itself then right click then asset actions then export.
