Unreal Engine uses C++, so I think you will mainly have to focus on this. If this is what you want, I suggest looking at the official documentation. Unfortunately I don’t have a source for my claim, but I also don’t believe there is a page where you are able to download all documentation.
Much of the code in the source build is commented and will be easier to understand as you work with it.
If there is a particular problem you are trying to solve, please feel free to raise it and I’ll try and help you further.
