How can I dissolve a strand based groom through material?

Hi!

I’ve been working with strands to groom characters, and i’m quite new to how materials work with strands.

My character can appear with a dissolve, and the dissolve texture applies correctly to the groom, but changing the opacity through a masked shader doesn’t seem to affect the strands in any way. Since I’m not quite sure how they’re being handled and rendered by the engine, i don’t know the limitations surrounding opacity and strands.

The objective is to have the strands dissolve like the rest of the body through a masked material.

Could somebody help me find a solution to achieve this?
