How can I disable blending between animations?

Simply put, I want to animate some characters in the manner of Arc Systemworks. This is done by using constant interpolation that renders each frame like a picture. However, when I check the blend space and animations, there is only step, linear, averaged, and cubic interpolation. Would I just have to use animation montages, or is there a way to configure blend spaces / animations to achieve this effect? In Blender, this interpolation style is called constant interpolation.
