Hey CertifiedJohn -

There are explosion effects in the engine which might give you a great headstart, but the absolute best shockwave tutorial can be found on imbueFX, here, but you will have to pay for it and it is worth every penny. It is a UDK tutorial but the effects and setup translate well into UE4.
