How can I change the damping value when Blueprint Balls hit each other?

I’m trying to add a event in my Balls blueprint that can change its damping value when the hit on each other, here’s what I got :

For some reason, these nodes never worked, How can I fix this?

Hey there @cheesechen12! The first thing I would do is to either add print statements or breakpoints (recommended) at each possible end of execution to see what exactly is happening. Is the hit event occurring? Is the cast succeeding or failing? How about the simulation check? etc.

Hi, sorry for the late reply :

I tried again this time and add print node to debug, the hit event is occuring, and the cast seems correct, but I could not verify the ball it hit is the BP_Ball.

How to build such condition that detect when the Ball is hitting with other balls?

Ahh, so it’s because that Actor does not simulate physics, but the Component does.

I’ll keep update on this thread when there’s further progress.

A quick update, and this should be the last, as I achieved what I’m looking for with this blueprint :

The issue I had at the begining is simply using the wrong event and connection.
