How can I block the influence of mouse orientation?

Hi, I have a little issue, when I look in a certain direction and start moving, the character will automatically take over the direction I am looking with the mouse.
I tried with Orient Rotation To Movement [unticked] but isn’t what i want:(

How can I stop it from rotating automatically in the mouse direction?? I just want to move in any direction without influencing the mouse.

Do you know any advice or tutorials that could help me?

Thanks in advance!!

Hello @WDRK23,

Can you share how you have your movement and rotation inputs set up? Also, is this for a first person, third person, top down or side scroller perspective? With a little more information we can start troubleshooting this issue!

Sure!! Inputs are default from Third Person Game

[Here the movements following the orientation of the mouse, how i don’t want to…]

[And here, it would be as I would like it to be, but the mouse should not influence the direction of movement]

Hey @WDRK23,

It looks like you are calculating all your movement from the control rotation in your blueprint. Instead of breaking the vector from your control rotation, try using Get Actor Forward vector and Get Actor Right vector and hooking those up to your movement inputs. This will allow your character to move based on where the mesh is facing, not where the control is pointing.

I hope this information helps!

it works, thanks a lot
