How can I access Blendertools on Github?

Hello! I have been trying to get the addon for Blender to send to Unreal. I linked my account to Github in 2015, and received a successful e-mail about it. However, I still cannot see the addon on Github. Was it removed? Why can’t I access it?

Are you logged in github? The link works fine https://github.com/epicgames/blendertools

Yup! It’s still 404 for me. I have seen other people having the same issue.

Should I try re-linking Github, perhaps?

Can you access unreal engine on github or the same happens?

The link you posted can be accessed by anyone. If you can access this link then I am not sure what’s the solution to your problem is. If you can’t however, then you haven’t linked you account https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine

Yea, I can access Epic Games · GitHub just fine. (Same as the rest of the site.)

Well, as I mentioned, my accounts are linked: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/457568805410045953/742084425831022633/20200809_141556.jpg And it does show in connections that I am connected, which is why I thought maybe attempting to re-link might work, unless there is some kind of issue.

Well, it’s still not working, so I am unsure of how to proceed.

You need to be a part of Epic Games, here is a video that will show how to become a member. after that can you download the Blender addon.

Thanks for trying to help. I’m just going to try unlinking and re-linking my accounts, and seeing if that does the trick, since they are already linked.

Edit: I unlinked my account, and re-linked it, and now it works fine.

  • the bloke just adds tons of black squares with HUGE gradients around the web page so one cannot read anything

  • I can barely understand what he says

  • I registered my github account with unreal yet I cannot access the tools, why is this so cryptic ?

I cloned zillions of repositories, I never had that sort of issues, wtf is going on ?

just :

  • go to Epic Games (you gotta be logged in your unreal account)
  • go to Epic Games · GitHub
  • check the invitation, should look like below image, and click join

Hey, I know this is old stuff now but when I had the same issue I unlinked and then relinked my github account.

The important part was that after a little bit you receive an invitation by email to join epic games which you need to accept. One you have accepted that you can access blendertools.

I don;t know why I never received (or missed) the invitation the first time. Maybe it would be good when you link your account that there was some instant notification that you need to check your email and accept the invitation.

I thought I’d just post this in case others have the same problem as we did.
