Hello all,
I wanted to share a recent project we completed at Tejjy Inc.—the Laurel Mob Building at the intersection of Van Dusen and Contee Roads in Laurel, Maryland. This new medical center, which provides outpatient surgery, primary care, and emergency services, was a complex project that required detailed coordination and advanced BIM technologies.
Our MEP engineers and modelers facilitated the development of mechanical and electrical shop drawings as well as a BIM LOD 350 model for the building. The model included detailed mechanical ducting and piping, and we used Clash Detection for smooth integration of architecture, structure, and MEP systems.
A few key details about the project:
Location: Laurel, Maryland
Area: 60,000 SF
Completion: 2022
Services Provided: Mechanical ducting, mechanical piping, electrical shop drawings, BIM coordination.
We were able to achieve seamless collaboration between different trades, resulting in reduced errors during construction with our MEP design services.
As we look to the future, I’m curious about the potential of AI and Machine Learning in enhancing the MEP BIM process. Specifically, I wonder how AI could improve predictive analytics for MEP systems, assist in detecting issues earlier, or optimize system designs based on real-time data. Has anyone worked on similar AI or Machine Learning integrations in MEP BIM, especially in healthcare projects? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
