How can a skeletal mesh have health?Or what causes it to die?

It is not my goal to have it that way, but after a certain amount of hits, my skeletal mesh components turn invisible and sometimes fly off as if they died.

There is the concept of Damage, take damage and Any Damage events. You can turn off damage in actors “can actor be damaged”. Have a look through the doco.

But this is like a hat iv attached to the pawn, how can a hat have health?
