Making a game will at most points be very dark, pitch black, I want the player to have a light around them that is just barely enough so they can tell where they are going. (think elden ring) So I made the light, but the problem is when a light source gets to close to an object, it becomes so bright, bright enough to the point where you can barely see the object.
Is there a setting on lights that makes it so that the light almost paints over the scene, creating a constant increase in brightness instead of a varied brightness? So that this was when I’m close to an object it stays the same amount of lit up as when I was far away?
