How are you guys getting past the Outdated Animation documentation to animate your character? For example, under the Animation How To’s , as soon as you hit the Setting up the animation to blend part, the outdated documentation is present. For example it mentions a MyGame blueprint and after that the documentation talks about things that are perhaps 6 months old. How do you guys get passed this? Are you relying on other websites to help?
When something is outdated, make sure to report it in the documentation section of the forum + when you dont know how to do something, just start a new thread and we will help you 
For animations I would recommend you this tutorial series (it’s for 4.8):
