How are devs replicating "Before Translucency" in PP Materials in 5.4?

In 5.4 Epic removed “Before Translucency” and “Before Tonemapping” as ‘Blendable Location’(s) in Post-Process Materials.

What are devs doing as work-around / alternative to replicate ‘Before Translucency’ in your older materials?

“Translucency after DOF” is not replicating the same results for me.
