I’m testing Houdini and it’s quite an interesting tool. The fact that you can create little “generators” of content can drastically improve the productivity of a 2 men team. However, I can’t seem to find some sort of marketplace to download digital assets made by other people. I would gladly buy HDAs of generic stuff, like walls, tables, pipes, whatever.
Yes Houdini is a remarkably interesting, powerful and obtuse tool. I would check out the Houdini forums, but I don’t think any marketplace exists atm.
