Using 4.25.0 (and 4.25.3) on macOS 10.15.6.
After moving my projects to an external hard drive, hot reload functionality has entirely stopped on my system. I initially moved the projects to an external drive on Sunday this week. I tested the main project that night and everything appeared to be working, and I was even able to get some work done on Monday. Yesterday, at some point, hot reload stopped working. I did some testing and this is what I know:
- Hot Reload does not function on 4.24.3, 4.25.0 and 4.25.3.
- This applies to projects both on the internal drive on my machine and projects on the external drive.
- I created new projects with both engine versions (4.24.3 and 4.25.3 (after updating)) on both the internal and external drives and none of them hot reload anymore.
- The editor sees that a new hot reload dylib file has been created but it does not implement the changes.
I’ve updated, deleted and reinstalled 4.25.3, disabled all of my VSCode extensions, refreshed the VSCode projects, and otherwise I’ve exhausted just about everything I know to do. I would try Xcode but I’ve never been able to successfully make Xcode do anything other than index a project.
I’m not expecting a thorough answer that solves all of my issues, I’m generally pretty self sufficient but I have absolutely no idea where to even go next. I can provide more info if necessary but I tried to be as thorough as I could be.
