Horror Mechanics / Ideas / Sound Activity Recording

Hey so making my horror game, I realized that I wanted something to spice it, and I thought of registering microphone sound activity and when getting over a specific number of decibels in a tense situation, the environment becomes more dangerous for the player, like the AI characters attack him/ jump scare. Through I didn’t think about the complexity of this mechanic , I was thinking if anyone could give me another good idea, or help me pursue this one. I am quite new to unreal but not so inexperienced, so don’t be afraid to explain it to me in big terms.
