Horror Game Stalking Mechanic?

Hi! This is my first post, so I thought it should be something interesting.
I’ve been working on a horror game for the past few weeks with the placeholder name “Uncanny Valley.” The main monster (Promo image attached to this post) is a spider-like creature, which I plan to stalk the player from a distance. And that’s why I’m here. I’m relatively new to blueprints, so if anyone could help me out, it would be very much appreciated.
To be more specific, I want the 3d model I made stay around, but not too close, to the player. If the player looks at it, it starts moving farther away. It will start to slowly get closer to the player, if the player doesn’t look at it. I don’t need any help with damage, animation or any of that. Just the base. If any of you new something that could help me, it would be very much appreciated.
