Hoping to bring HTML5 back with WebGPU.

UE is focusing on the ultimate visual presents which is why I am deeply in love with UE. I am a 3D generalist and my hobby is using UE to create Indie Game in my spare time.

In my daily job, I am currently doing extensive research about making a web-based project. I need to decide which engine the team will be using when the project starts. I realized for a browser to show next gen graphic, it needs to embrace WebGPU.

Unfortunately, UE stops supporting HTML5 since UE4 which is reasonable.

However, if a creator wants to reach the biggest audience group, it must be a browser which can be run in mobile phone, tablet and PC.

I find Unity, Godot, Laya Air and Cocos Creator are all working towards HTML5 with WebGPU, I wonder is Unreal Engine really decided to lose this massive market?
