Hololens UE5 issues

I have a Hololens 2 project using the Mixed Reality plugins from Github and the OpenXR plugin from the marketplace that works fine in the editor however when I package the project with the Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality plugin I get an error, if I turn the plugin off it packages fine but I get a red message in the top left of in-editor-play window about there not being an AR plugin configured.

Trying to open the packaged app in the Hololens 2 emulator only shows a window with the UE logo with nothing else and when looking at the running processes I can see it open but it shortly closes after.

I have tried following some of the tutorials, the chess one for example, but they all seem to use UE4 and none actually show them opening their application on the Hololens/Emulator. And even following these tutorials leads to the same result.

Any ideas on what could be causing this and any potential fixes?

I’m having the same issue. I can get the equivalent project (including tutorials like OP mentions) to run in 4.27.2, but I can’t even get the most basic projects to run (without closing shortly after I launch them). I am open to hear any ideas on how to fix this as well.

Hello, may I ask if you are using UE5 to package on Hololens and recording screens using Hololens? Is the model and UI relatively transparent. But UE4 wouldn’t?
