HLOD

HLOD destroyed my level.

HLODs are very difficult to work with. HLODs constantly overload the system. Why can’t it be done in such a way that it is possible to bake the landscape in HLODs in small parts? Why do you have to Build the whole level at once, and you can’t make it so that you can only do the part that needs to be done at this stage of development? Why are some HLODs files and textures completely inaccessible to the user so that you can work with the texture in detail? HLODs constantly cause the system to crash.

HLODs are very necessary for large open worlds, but they still take up a lot of video memory. We need to make them more economical and functional.
