HitPoint is highly customizable mouse interaction and waypoint indicator package for Unreal Engine 4. It contains more than 100 textures and meshes for creating unique looking world space indicators. You can use it for spawning a custom actors on mouse move, down and click events. It’s a perfect toolkit especially for top-down games and objective marking. You can find working examples in this package as well as demo scene to try its features. It’s a drag-drop solution so it just works as you add HitPoint to your map.
All textures in this package are high-resolution textures and all meshes are hand tweaked for best fitting to your needs. With HitPoint you have the ability to add unlimited sub-meshes with customizable mesh, texture, rotation, scale, color, opacity etc… options.
You can use HitPoint Curves to create smooth animations for each of these sub-meshes individually. Animations also have duration, speed and delay options for even more unique creations.
Two different mode allows the developer to choose how to use HitPoint:
Interaction mode: In this mode, HitPoint will follow your mouse with its “MouseUpState” settings. Whenever you click somewhere on your map, it’ll spawn a variation you created. Perfect for commanding units to move to some point on your map.
No interaction mode: In this mode, HitPoint will act as “always on”, looping animation actor. Perfect for marking important points/areas on your map.
